Privacy Policy for CACEP
Our
Commitment to Privacy
Central American Children’s Education projects respects
the privacy of every individual who visits www.CACEP.net, this
notice explains our online information practices. Because your
privacy is so important to us, we provide you with notice and
choices about the collection and use of your information. By
visiting www.CACEP.net you accept the practices described in
this Privacy Notice.
Data Collection
We collect two types of information:
1. Standard Web server traffic pattern information.
General traffic, site usage, and length of stay
information is collected and stored in log file.
2. This type of information is shared externally only
on an aggregated basis.
3. Personal information. We do not collect personally
identifiable information from you unless you provide it to
us voluntarily and knowingly. If you volunteer, request
information, or donate, for example, we may collect the
following information: first and last name, street
address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, email
address, and subject of inquiry.
Personal information may be needed for certain optional
online activities:
Contributions: If
you choose to use a credit card to donate through this site,
we collect standard credit card information (card number, card
type, expiration date) and keep a record of your financial
transaction. Credit card numbers are held only until the
charge can be processed (usually several minutes), and then
the number is only available to Donor Services for purposes of
problem resolution. If you choose to donate to our
organization, we maintain a record of your contribution
Notification: You will be notified that your gift has been
received via an email. All gifts exceeding a $500.00 dollar
amount will be notified through a personal phone call to
assure its authenticity. We do this not only as a security
measure for both the donor and CACEP but also to build an
ongoing relationship with our donors.
Refunds: We are very appreciative of every donation
received. In the event that you change your mind we will do
everything possible to refund your contribution provided
you notify us within a 24 hour period from the receipt of your
confirmation through a phone call or email .We are an
Non-profit organization and rely on your
donations for our funding all we we ask is that you make a
donation after serious consideration.
